We would like to thank Jason Valyear (Past President) and Tammy Wood (Director) for their time dedicated to the Chapter, and wish them well in their future endeavors. The new executive of the West Coast Chapter consists of Keith MacKinnon (President); Adam Tayler (Vice President); Ken Pamplin (Director); Matt Siemens (Secretary); and Mark Porter (Director).
The SCI Convention is being held in Nashville, Tennessee this year from Feb 22-25. If any of you are going to be there, reach out so we can meet you or drop by Gunderson’s Jewelers on Thursday from 15:00-17:00 for a reception specifically for members of Canadian Chapters. Besides seminars to attend, there will be auctions to raise funds for wildlife projects and legal battles to defend your right and opportunity to go hunting. March 3rd-5th we have a Booth at the BC Sportsmen’s Show held at Tradex in Abbotsford. There will be SCI products for sale, as well as memberships and tickets to our upcoming banquet.
Our chapter banquet and fundraiser is being held on April 22, 2023 at the Langley Banquet Hall at 3227 264th St in Aldergrove. We have picked a firearm friendly venue that will set up and clean up the tables, however, we are looking for volunteers to help with the display of prizes and auction items. If you can come out for 2 hours to lend a hand, please contact us at info@sciwestcoast.org. Many hands make light work. If you have an item or service you are able to donate to raise funds for conservation and protection of our right to hunt, please contact adam.tayler@sciwestcoast.org
Tickets for the banquet are $120 each, or you can buy a table of eight for $960. Take note that an African hunt will be given away that night, but the only way to be eligible for the draw is to purchase a table. Be aware that we require to let the kitchen know how many people are attending so the correct amount of food is made.
